Preschool/Nursery - The Snowman in Moon magical story by Stephen Heigh followed by ones on Jesus as a little boy and making a rainbow kippah or yarmulke, Jesus as the Good Shepherd and the Parable of the Lost Sheep all lead up to an Easter season celebration.

Kindergarten - The beauty of God's creation curriculum will cover Birds in Winter and homelessness; Wind, Air & Weather; Our relationship with Trees along with taste testing maple syrup products; and Palm Sunday.

Grade 1 - Faith Footsteps explores the New Testament with Jesus' call to the 12 Disciples or "Fishers of Men," miracle stories like the big catch and healing of the lame man and others, plus Palm Sunday and Holy Week.

Grade 2 - Famous Unitarians kicked-off the spring segment focusing on UUA Seven Principles or affirmations with a Dr. Seuss birthday celebration. Visit this interactive website for stories games, activities and more about Dr. Theodor Seuss Geisel. Each week until June 2 the lives and impacts of different clusters of UUs will be examined. Coming up this month will be: Concord authors & artists and human rights activists.

Grade 3 - Bible Stories and Living the Promise resumed with the Jewish celebration of the feast Purim with homemade Hamantashen cookies and the legend of Queen Esther. Next will be favored son Joseph & his jealous brothers, Joshua & the Battle of Jericho, and Deborah - wise woman judge.

Grade 4 - Egyptian Escape Artists: story of Exodus began with exploring ancient culture in Moses' time with hieroglyphs, cartouches and decoder wheels. Future activities on Moses' life & teachings include a BBC documentary on "Who Was Moses?", a biblical treasure hunt, drama skit "In Pharaoh's Court", plague possibilities, comparing contemporary laws to the Ten Commandments. Unit ends with a Passover feast or Seder re-enactment.

Grade 5 - Construction hats are not required for building a village diorama while Exploring Palestine during the life of Jesus. Videos, maps and discussions cover the political climate, geography/topography, occupations, trade center and marketplace, Jewish life, Sabbath & synagogue. Last class eats an authentic meal to celebration class construction completion.

Grade 6 - A Kingdom of Equals: Jesus' radical path to love and justice provides an understanding of Jesus' social vision and His actions with their modern connections through A World of Sharing - the miracle of the loaves & fishes, an Ideal City Council exercise, Healing on the Sabbath - as Jesus continues to disturb the authorities, Corruption in the Temple with a Trading Temple game, and the events leading up to The Last Supper.

Grade 7 - Neighboring Faiths introduces concepts in Buddhism & Zen, Hinduism, Taoism and the Baha'i faith as students try Metta meditation exercises, watch PBS video excerpts on Buddha - the story of Siddharta, take a yoga class, and visit the Shambhala Meditation Center in Brookline.

Grade 8 - The Covenanting Year class will visit The Outdoor Church on March 10 to experience ministry to the chronically homeless. The class will also prepare to assist in leading the Maundy Thursday communion service and take part in that celebration on March 28.
