Save Sat., Mar. 29, for a great hands-on service opportunity with other First Parishioners! Habitat for Humanity - MetroWest/Greater Worcester was designated by Wayland to build four affordable homes on donated land as a friendly Chapter B project. Homes will be sold to qualified homeowners who demonstrate a need for housing, ability to partner with Habitat and ability to pay a mortgage. On Mar. 29, we have both morning and afternoon shifts, with 15 volunteer openings per shift, available with a lunch break in between. Youths under 16 can participate in the building activities if accompanied by an adult but there are other ways for people of all ages to participate in this project that don’t involve building – like preparing lunch or offering childcare for the work crew, providing building materials. or making financial contributions to First Parish’s required donation to Habitat.
